Kristin Wright of Stand Today recently partnered with Jubilee Campaign, a human rights organization working on behalf of the persecuted church, for a two-week trip to Pakistan and India. While in Pakistan, she was able to view firsthand the work of seeking justice for Pakistani Christians who are on trial because of their faith. Take a look at the work that the Center for Legal Aid Assistance and Settlement (a partner organization of Jubilee Campaign), is accomplishing in Pakistan.

Breaking the Silence
Defending Persecuted Christians in Court

Christians comprise less than 3% of the population in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. As a result of their social status in this predominately Islamic country, they are frequently victimized. Many, many Christians have been falsely accused of blasphemy against the prophet Mohammed, resulting in arrest and long-term imprisonment.

The Center for Legal Aid Assistance and Settlement (CLAAS) is a Jubilee Campaign partner organization headquartered in Lahore, Pakistan. This courageous group of attorneys endeavors to defend Christians who are on trial. Just since our return to the U.S. from Pakistan, two of their cases have been won.

For more information and firsthand accounts of the week in Pakistan, read Kristin Wright's latest article for BreakPoint Online, titled Christ in the Muslim World.

If you would like to join us in taking a stand with victims of persecution, you can help to support the work of CLAAS. Consider giving to the Victim's Fund, a special fund designed to aid and alleviate believers who are suffering for their faith. You can donate online.
